Sound of Football Podcast 451 - Reconnecting with football

This week it was announced that the list of matches to test the return of fans to stadiums has been extended to include this month's League Cup final and FA Cup semi-finals, which could have up to 8000 spectators (at least half of which will be local to Wembley or NHS staff). The plan is part of the launch of so-called Covid passports - official documents that will hopefully allow people to return to large-scale events.

How will 12 months out of stadiums affect our relationship with football? Will it simply go back to how it was before, or has the past year changed our relationship with the game? Will there be any residue of the time when football was just a TV show?

What's in the Weekend Boxset?

We couldn't not include Pep v Bielsa in the Boxset even if winning the title is a foregone conclusion. That's not the case in Spain though with Sunday's El Clasico set to have a major influence on which of the three contenders will secure the title.
