Sound of Football Podcast 419 - City not banned
Back in February we recorded a podcast in reaction to Manchester City's two year ban from European competition. On Monday, that decision was been over-turned by the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) - but City certainly haven't been exonerated. Where does CAS's decision leave UEFA's FFP now?
We also look at the bizarre situation at Wigan. Murky ownership and rumours of a betting scandal lie behind the clubs decision to throw themselves into administration. How much could the EFL have done to help prevent what has happened to what, on the outside at least, looks like a well-run Championship side? Are governing bodies in any way equipped to deal with the types of people who want to own football clubs in modern times?
