Sound of Football Podcast 329 - 50+1 won't go

Bundesliga clubs last week voted to retain their ownership model of 50+1, where the majority of shares must be owned by club members rather than an oligarch or natural gas company. Good news for fans but not so good news for Bayern Munich, whose CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes will struggle to compete with the super-rich sides in other European leagues that enjoy no such restrictions.

This week, Graham, Jan and our resident Bundesliga expert Terry, discuss the 50+1 model; its benefits and any potential drawbacks. We also ponder where Bayern go from here. Barely challenged on their way to a sixth consecutive Bundesliga title (even when they are far below their best), is success in the Champions League the only measure of how good they actually are?
