Sound of Football Podcast 316 - Great expectations
For fans of football in England, this weekend was book-ended by two important cup draws. On Friday, those with an interest in the national team discovered who England would be facing in next summer's World Cup. While on Monday evening, just a couple of hours before we recorded this week's podcast, the draw for the 3rd round of the FA Cup was made — the traditional half-way point of the season and a time when many see an opportunity for a change in fortune for their sides.
Following their own draw made two weeks ago, Graham, Terry and Jan look at the real World Cup draw and discuss what, if any, realistic expectations England fans can have from sharing a group with Belgium, Tunisia and Panama. Terry also gives his reaction to his side, Crystal Palace, being drawn against their fierce rivals Brighton & Hove Albion, in the FA Cup.
