Sound of Football Podcast 249 - Who stole the World Cup?
50 years ago this week, the Jules Rimet Trophy was stolen from a stamp exhibition in London. Although someone was imprisoned for holding the Cup to ransom, none of his accomplices were caught, and how it ended up in Beulah Hill to be found by a man and his dog is anyone's guess.
In a special Sound of Football investigation, Graham goes through this half century old cold case - upturning long forgotten evidence and making some breathtaking discoveries along the way. Was it a lone thief? Was it the mob? Was it stolen under orders from Apartheid South Africa's Secret Service? Terry and Jan are on hand to try and make sense of it all.
